The Buddhist caves of Ajamta and Ellora inspired Doshi to design the interior with circles and ellipses.(used in final model)

There is a relationship between servant and served spaces, whereby servant spaces like stairways and corridors facilitate the function of the served living spaces.

"All matter is made up of light, and matter casts shadows, and the light and shadows make a space."

He establishes a hierarchy of spatial organisation in that primary spaces are often centralised, whereas secondary spaces are placed on the fringes.(used in final model)

Drawing in natural light through forms which in turn diffuses light and creates ambiance.

Two Archtects' Concepts
Louis KAHN
o    He establishes a hierarchy of spatial organisation in that primary spaces are often centralised, whereas secondary spaces are placed on the fringes
o    Focussing on functionality whilst giving life to architecture
o    The materiality and method of assembly of the building should be clear to anyone who sees it, this creates a grander sense of weight and presence
o    Form did not necessarily follow the function
o    "Each space should have its own shape and form"
o    He juxtaposes both materials and geometry, using not only conventional materials like concrete, but also using timber in unexpected ways
o    "All matter is made up of light, and matter casts shadows, and the light and shadows make a space."
o    There is a relationship between servant and served spaces, whereby servant spaces like stairways and corridors facilitate the function of the served living spaces
o    Emphasis placed on strong geometric forms of the building, which in turn dramatically influences its relationship to light

Balkrishna DOSHI
o    Interrelationship between indoor and outdoor spaces
o    Drawing in natural light through forms which in turn diffuses light and creates ambiance
o    Traditionally geometric shapes are made to look new through materiality
o    Brutalism and ruggedness of raw materials such as brick and concrete
o    "Landscape is the primary architectural mediator, the ground and building are in separable."
o    Relates his architecture to the history of his home country of India. Brutalist form relates to the skilled craftsmen of his culture
o    Flexible rather than rigid approach to the structure
o    Responding to the tropical climate of the site
o    The use of columns to define a space
o    The Buddhist caves of Ajamta and Ellora inspired Doshi to design the interior with circles and ellipses
o    The architecture features overlapping layers and transitional areas which encourages fluid and adaptable living conditions, customary in Indian tradition

Concepts i am using in Model:
"The Buddhist caves of Ajamta and Ellora inspired Doshi to design the interior with circles and ellipses."
"He establishes a hierarchy of spatial organisation in that primary spaces are often centralised, whereas secondary spaces are placed on the fringes."

(The Buddhist caves of Ajamta and Ellora)
In terms of the design of The Buddhist caves of Ajamta and Ellora, the interior of columns raise up to the top of the roof. I designed the two organic columns straight up the station and circle together in the middle of station.
The station i am designed domain in the middle part as the function of  transportation for public. It divides into three floor that ground floor for cars while upper for trains. That relate to the concepts of "establish a hierarchy of spatial organisation in the center".
The whole station is going with the school path and car road. The secondary spaces such as landscape and public room are placing around the station site. The site and station are connected by a curved bridge to be a whole UNSW architecture.

EXP3: Two Moving Elements

The table in studio room is moving in order to saving time for adjusting spaces. The moving sun shields at the upper floor.
